Health Clinic Update

We're delighted to share with you an update on our Health Clinic which opened in November 2017. The facility is located in one of the poorest areas of Uganda and serves the community of Bukasakya sub-county.

Our aim was for the Clinic to provide holistic health care in the community, rather than dealing with emergencies, and so far the Clinic has exceeded Spotlight’s expectations!

The Clinic is well supported by the District which has provided medicines and vaccines. The majority of patients attending the Clinic are children, some of whom now come by themselves.

We were able to treat everyone who came to the Clinic, except women in labour, and only 1% of patients re-attended, meaning that patients we treated recovered.

What a great start!
